Ballantyne Brokers continues its build out with two hires to senior leadership team


London, 12 January 2021, Ballantyne Brokers Ltd (Ballantyne), the independent London Broker, is pleased to announce the completion of its senior leadership team with the appointment of John Harris as COO and Will Moore as Finance Director. The appointments are effective immediately and are subject to regulatory approval.

This outstanding duo will further strengthen Ballantyne’s management as it drives forward its ambitious growth plan.

John Harris has an impressive track record in the management of insurance broker operations. Latterly as COO of Decus Insurance brokers, and a member of its executive committee. He established his operations credentials during his more than 25 years with Marsh.

Will Moore is a senior financial professional, having held a variety of senior roles in banking and venture capital in London and New York. Including time at Accenture, Morgan Stanley and, more recently, as Global CFO of Emerging Markets Group at Credit Suisse.

Balllantyne shortly plans to announce the appointment of an equally well qualified Head of Claims subject to the completion of their existing contractual obligations.

Ballantyne Brokers Ltd launches


London, 1 December 2020, Ballantyne Brokers Ltd (Ballantyne), the independent London Broker, is pleased to announce its start of business. Founded by leading London market brokers, Ross Ballantyne and Richard Spragg, the leadership team also includes former Aon Benfield Chairman and Aon UK COO David Ledger, to be appointed Non-Executive Chairman. All appointments are subject to regulatory approval. Ballantyne is owned by its management team with the lead investment from K2 Insurance Services LLC.

Ballantyne Brokers Ltd (Ballantyne), will initially focus on SME programme business, which it will deliver through its cloud-based technology platform and building out a comprehensive reinsurance offering. The business combines efficient and cost-effective digital technology with traditional London market broking to deliver high quality client service. The team is already in discussion with ambitious individuals and broking teams and expects to announce new talent joining the team in the near future.
